The Local Response To A Global Challenge: Renewables & Energy Conservation In Municipalities & Central Government was a presentation given by Bernard Mallia on the 7th of October 2012 under the auspices of the Mellieha Local Council, which was hosting a Europe For Citizens’ Action 1 – Measure 1.2 Programme with the theme of networking of Twinned Towns.
The presentation first dealt with the policy environment within which municipalities have to operate today and thereafter went on to deal with greenhouse gases, climate change and what Malta (and specifically the Mellieha Local Council) was doing to abate pollution and to go green.
